Role

The Redemptive Care Associate Minister is responsible for the Care Advocate Ministry and general ministerial responsibilities as needed. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy, planning, and leading in the development and implementation of the Care Advocate Ministry
  • Recruit and oversee Care Advocate volunteers and participants. 
  • Respond to inquiries from the Care email, TVC website, or voicemails from members/attendees wanting to know about Care Advocates or have other high-level care needs.
  • Provide ministerial care and oversight to situations when appropriate. 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Agree with The Village Church’s Expectations of Membership, Statement of Faith, TVC Care Paper, and commit to exhibiting a lifestyle that is consistent with the same
  • 3+ years of ministerial care/counsel & leadership experience with a specific focus on domestic violence 
  • Proficient biblical and theological foundation of philosophy and practice of care/counseling
  • Proficient understanding of trauma, domestic violence, abuse, gender dynamics, family systems, and mental health 
  • Exhibit an attitude of teamwork and collaboration for one church with one mission
