Life Story

I was fortunate to grow up in a Christian home where I was taught the Bible and heard often about Jesus' death on the cross. We went to church regularly. As I grew older, I began to understand the significance of Jesus' death and resurrection. When I was a sophomore in high school, I surrendered my life to Christ.

During my sophomore year in college at UNC-Chapel Hill, I felt the Lord calling me to ministry. That call led me to the inner city of Chicago, where I served a summer during college. I then moved there permanently after college graduation. I got a job working at Moody Bible Institute, where I met my husband, Ron.

Ron served as a student minister at churches in South Carolina, Louisiana, and Kentucky. We have three children: Halle, Landry, and Brady. Currently, Ron is on staff at East-West Ministries and my ministry role is one of support. I have had the opportunity to minister to people of all ages and walks of life, and one thing I have seen consistently is that everyone has hurts and brokenness, and everyone has victories. I consider it an honor to walk alongside people in both brokenness and victory.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope is that we would be a place where brokenness is embraced, a place where we can be real with our pain and encourage each other toward healing. My hope is that from that brokenness and healing, we could take the truth of the gospel out to others who are broken. I hope that we would be a church serious about sharing the gospel and planting new churches to share the gospel.
