Life Story

I had the blessing of being raised in a home where Christ was proclaimed with parents who were faithful and intentional to teach us the Word of God. Along with my four siblings, I was homeschooled and grew up in Dallas. In my early years, I struggled with the idea of the free gift of grace. Instead of embracing the gift of salvation, I strived to live perfectly to earn God’s favor and love. The Lord, in His loving mercy, continually pursued me to reveal my sin and my need for Him. As I grew, I began to understand unconditional love and my inability to be worthy of salvation. I fully surrendered my life, my desires, and my future to the Lord in my high school years.

I attended Dallas Baptist University and received my degree in psychology and sociology. I met my husband, William, in 2009, and we were married in 2012. We became members of a local church, and it was there that the Lord taught us what His design for the Church looked like. I had the privilege of serving on staff at the church in the Preschool and Kids Ministry for almost six years. I am incredibly grateful to the people there who patiently invested in and loved on our family.

William and I have the privilege of being called Mom and Dad by four amazing children. We are so grateful for the conviction, opportunity, and joy of homeschooling our children. I am so grateful to be called a disciple of Christ, a wife, and a mother, and I do not take these roles lightly. I am passionate about discipling and equipping women and children to be mature followers of Christ Jesus my Lord. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends, preferably outdoors with a cup of hot coffee.

Hope for The Village Church

My hope is that we would be a people marked by the Word of God. I desire that the Word would be written on our hearts and hands and that we would proclaim Christ to the world around us for the glory of God.
